Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Post-16)
Pay Rate: £98.52 £101.31 per day
Location: Birmingham (Aston)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.45am 3.00pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic Post-16 SEN college in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity to support students aged 16+ with a range of special educational needs, including autism, moderate and severe learning difficulties, and additional complex needs. The college is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional who can make a real difference in the lives of its learners.

The role is available for an immediate start, but the college is also happy to consider candidates available from September.

Job Requirements for this SEN Teaching Assistant role:
  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant field

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within a SEN school or college

  • Proven ability to support Post-16 students with a variety of SEN needs

  • Skilled in providing tailored support that promotes independence and engagement

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance requirements
