Overview

If you a teaching assistant who can help children to learn and thrive with encouraging support and have experience delivering Phonics then Academics in Leeds want to hear from you!

We are currently looking to recruit a teaching assistant to support in KS1 in one of our mainstream primary schools based in East Leeds. This is a long term role starting after October half term until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils within KS1.
  • Deliver Phonics (Read, Write, Inc.) as part of the role.
  • Work with the classroom teacher to support learning and positive ethos.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of working with children in KS1.
  • Experience delivering Phonics (Read, Write, Inc.).
  • Candidates with experience working with children, SEND and/or the care industry will also be considered.
  • A can do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom.
  • The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members.
