Job description

Teaching Assistants - Launceston

Location: Launceston and nearby areas
Pay: 85- 100 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: Ready when you are
Contract: Totally flexible - day-to-day, long-term, or temp-to-perm
Hours: Full-time or part-time, term-time only

We're teaming up with some great schools around Launceston who need reliable, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants ready to step in and make a difference. Whether you're a seasoned classroom helper or have experience supporting young people elsewhere, this is your chance to do meaningful work that fits your life.

No formal qualifications? No problem. If you bring a positive attitude, a calm head, and some experience working with children or young people, we want to hear from you.



What you'll be up to:

  • Supporting pupils one-on-one, in small groups, or alongside the teacher during lessons

  • Helping kids stay focused, confident, and engaged

  • Assisting pupils with extra needs, behaviour challenges, or just general support

  • Collaborating with teachers to create a positive and supportive classroom vibe



We're looking for someone who:

  • Has hands-on experience with children or young people (in any setting)

  • Is calm, approachable, and proactive

  • Follows routines but isn't afraid to think on their feet

  • Can adapt to different students needs and keep things running smoothly



What you'll need:

  • Enhanced DBS (or be happy to apply for one)

  • Two recent references (from the past two years)

  • The right to work in the UK
