Teaching Assistant Full Time Gidea Park, East London

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who inspires to work with in an SEN environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students in a classroom at one of leading schools in London. This unique Teaching Assistant will require you to support a year 8 boy who sometimes moderate to severe behaviour issues e.g Difficulty Concentrating. We want you to become an integral team player and deliver the best support to students who need a helping hand, academically and mentoring. If this roles sounds like a good fit please read on.

Role: Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Location: Gidea Park, East London

Contract: Full time

Rate: 95- 115 per day

School Type: Primary

Ideal Candidate:

  • Supervising and supporting pupils
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
  • Supporting with behaviour management
  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
  • Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
  • Some basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Bachelor's degree (Education Studies, Psychology or Sports Degrees are welcome)
