Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Hastings, East Sussex
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Hastings. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children s learning and development in a nurturing school environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils engage in classroom learning, supporting both academic progress and personal growth. The ideal candidate will be proactive, patient, and enthusiastic about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
• Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional wellbeing
• Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs and learning styles
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in an educational setting
• A kind and flexible approach, with strong communication skills
• Ability to follow direction while also showing initiative
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education
