Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester, M43
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay Rate: 95.83 to 111.09 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is looking for a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a warm and nurturing EYFS setting in a fantastic primary school located in the heart of M43, Manchester. This Teaching Assistant role begins in September 2025 and is a full-time, long-term position for the full academic year - with excellent potential to continue beyond.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be based within the EYFS, supporting both Nursery and Reception pupils. You'll provide general classroom support, lead small group interventions, and deliver 1:1 assistance to children with additional needs. The school is known for its exceptional early years provision, inclusive ethos, and close-knit staff team - making it a truly rewarding environment for any Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Work as a Teaching Assistant across Nursery and Reception classes.
  • Support learning through play, early phonics, and basic number work.
  • Deliver small group activities and 1:1 interventions.
  • Assist with emotional regulation and social development.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:

  • Be a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience.
  • Understand the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and confident supporting young learners.
  • Have experience working with children with SEND or additional needs.
  • Show excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Recent references covering the last 2-3 years.
  • A genuine interest in EYFS and being a long-term Teaching Assistant.
