Job description

Job Title: Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Derby

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £13.69 - £14 per hour

Can you support young children learn using continuous play and lead small group activities covering all seven areas of learning?

Can you teach children using a range of strategies including good questioning techniques and dialogue to develop understanding and extend learning?

Can you encourage good manners and respectful behaviours in a positive manner?

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a thriving and aspirational school based in Derby who uses a curriculum that is built on continuous play and children having access to resources, giving them the opportunity to make choices. They are looking to take on a part time teaching assistant on a long term basis who is kind, caring and experienced in working with SEND.

The successful applicant will be making sure that children are safe, happy and stimulated as well as observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification
• Previous experience working with SEND
• Enthusiastic about making a positive difference
• Driving License (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible to work 8.30 3.30 Monday to Friday
