Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School - Bromley
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (Until End of Academic Year)
Location: Bromley
Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a thriving mainstream secondary school in Bromley. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, supporting their learning and development in a dynamic and inclusive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their academic goals

  • Work alongside teaching staff to deliver tailored support for individual students and small groups

  • Assist with classroom preparation, behaviour management, and the creation of engaging learning resources

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged

  • Help to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or child-based setting

  • A valid, enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive, patient, and flexible approach to working with students of varying needs and abilities

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to reach their potential

This is a long-term position running until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of further opportunities beyond this period. The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment with a strong commitment to professional development.
