Job description

Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School - Bexley
Start: Immediate Full-Time Long-Term (Until End of Academic Year)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive mainstream secondary school in Bexley. This is a full-time, long-term role to begin immediately, continuing until the end of the academic year.



Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across a range of year groups and abilities. Working closely with teachers and the wider support staff, you will help ensure that all students are able to access the curriculum and achieve their potential in a safe and inclusive environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in both classroom and small group settings

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement

  • Provide support for students with additional learning needs

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Help create a stimulating and supportive learning environment



Requirements:

  • Previous child-based experience is essential (ideally in a school or educational setting)

  • A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and their development



Pay:

The pay rate is dependent on experience and will be discussed upon application.
