A local educational institution in Farnham seeks a full-time Teaching Assistant to support class learning and manage the school library. The role includes direct support for educational interventions, aiming to improve literacy among secondary pupils. Full-time Teaching Assistant required during term time only, with two days dedicated to supporting literacy interventions under the guidance of the specialist literacy/numeracy teacher, and taking responsibility for the management and day-to-day running of the school library.
30.25 hours per week, spread over 5 days: 8.50am-3.20pm Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri; 8.35am-3.20pm Wed. Plus an additional 2 hours 15 minutes after school for intervention work/library duties. Days to carry this out to be mutually agreed. Pay scale WA4-10 to WA4-16. (FTE £24,133 to £27,663 pa; Actual £18,740 to £21,481 pa).
We are a special school for secondary pupils in Years 7 to 11 with learning and additional needs.
