Job summary

Vision for Education is working in partnership with REAch2 to support Purfleet Primary School in Thurrock, offering opportunities for passionate Teaching Assistants who want to help children learn, grow and reach their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant you’ll work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils’ learning, confidence and development, with one-to-one or small-group support, and with a focus on inclusive, supportive classroom environments.

Qualifications

• Patient, caring and positive approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, flexible and proactive attitude.
• Experience with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where needed.
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
• Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons.
• Supporting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapting your approach to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
