Teaching Assistant in Alternative Provision


SEMH TA - Northampton, Northamptonshire - Secondary AP - Immediate start - £90-100 per day depending on experience - Trialling next week

Tradewind Recruitment are currently partnered with a secondary Alternative Provision school in Northampton who are looking for an experienced and resilient teaching assistant to join their team after Easter!


About the Role

SEMH TA - Alternative Provision
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start date: 22nd April
Duration: Long term role until the end of July with the possibility of extending into the new academic year
Requirements: Must have experience working with SEN or SEMH students


About the School

This school has a bright and colourful recreational area where students can spend their free time, such as breakfast club, breaks, and lunch period. They have four large classrooms, each equipped with interactive Smart boards or projectors, allowing all lessons to incorporate innovative resources. Their students attend Key Stages 3 and 4, aged from 13 years old up to 16 years old.


This AP studied for GCSE Maths, English, and Science. 73% of students received grades of 6 or higher on their GCSE exams, with their curriculum also including a variety of unaccredited programs that students can participate in throughout the year.


About You

Having experience working in a primary/secondary/SEN school in the UK is essential.
SEN experience is essential.
The ability to support secondary aged students both academically and emotionally.
Able to work with students with different needs and adapt to their learning.
Available full time - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
Obtain a child only DBS on the Update Service.
