Simply Education is working in partnership with a local SEND provision dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We operate across various alternative provisions in Oldham, ensuring each student receives tailored support to thrive academically and emotionally. We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant.

We seek a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with diverse needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEND, meeting their individual needs.
• Implement bespoke curriculum plans tailored to each student's academic and pastoral requirements.
• Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a nurturing approach in all interactions.
• Differentiate strategies to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities.
• Apply behaviour management techniques as outlined in the policy.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with SEND is desirable but full training will be provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Patience, resilience, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
• Qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
