Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow in confidence and enjoy their time at school? A welcoming primary school in Doncaster is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide valuable classroom support.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning and development throughout the school day. You may work with individuals or small groups, assist with classroom activities and provide additional support to pupils who need extra guidance. Your patience, encouragement and ability to build positive relationships will help pupils feel confident and engaged in their learning.

Support the class teacher with daily learning activities and classroom routines.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
Help pupils access the curriculum and remain engaged with their learning.
Support children with additional learning or emotional needs where appropriate.
Encourage positive behaviour and independence in the classroom.
Monitor pupils' progress and share relevant observations with the class teacher.
Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Previous experience working with children is desirable.
Experience supporting pupils in a school or similar educational setting is advantageous.
A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other school staff.
A genuine commitment to helping children make progress and achieve their potential.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
