Vision for Education are recruiting a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Braintree from September 2026. You will work with the class teacher to support pupils academically and personally, providing one-to-one and small-group support, and helping children with SEND.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about children’s education, patient, and approachable, with the ability to build positive relationships and adapt to individual needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their learning, confidence, and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils both academically and personally.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
Support children with SEND and additional learning needs.
Help pupils develop their confidence, independence, and learning skills.
Support children's academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
Encourage pupils to participate fully in classroom activities.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable. The successful candidate should have an understanding of the importance of adapting their approach to meet individual children's needs.
Experience supporting children with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, learning difficulties, or social and emotional needs would be beneficial. Patience, empathy, flexibility, and a calm approach are particularly important when supporting pupils who require additional assistance.
