About the Role

Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA) - Full Time, Long-Term

Location: Birmingham, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, and surrounding areas

Start Date: Ongoing

Contract Type: Long-Term / Full Time

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable and fully committed TAs to join our network of primary schools across Birmingham, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield, and nearby areas.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils in the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Most of our current opportunities are within mainstream primary schools, where you will work closely with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Your role as a teaching assistant will involve providing support on a 1:1 basis as well as working with small groups of pupils, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You\'ll assist with learning activities, promote inclusion, and work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure every child feels supported, valued, and confident in their learning.

Teaching Assistant's should be comfortable and enthusiastic about working with SEND pupils, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support.

Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a UK-based school (essential)
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 2 (or above) in a child-related qualification
  • Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths
  • Location: Must be based locally to Birmingham or surrounding areas
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children\'s learning
