Qualifications

  • Experience working in a primary, secondary, or special needs school in the UK is essential.
  • SEN experience is essential.
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Teaching Assistant in Alternative Provision

SEMH TA - Northampton, Northamptonshire - Immediate start - GBP90-100 per day depending on experience - Trialling next week

Tradewind Recruitment is currently partnered with a secondary Alternative Provision school in Northampton that is looking for an experienced and resilient teaching assistant to join their team after Easter!

SEMH TA - Alternative Provision

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Role: Long-term until the end of July, with the possibility of extension into the new academic year

Requirements: Must have experience working with SEN or SEMH students

About the school: This school features a bright and colorful recreational area for students to spend their free time, including breakfast club, breaks, and lunch periods. It has four large classrooms, each equipped with interactive Smart boards or projectors, enabling the use of innovative resources. The students attend Key Stages 3 and 4, aged from 13 to 16 years old.

About you:

  • Experience working in a primary, secondary, or special needs school in the UK is essential
  • SEN experience is essential
  • Ability to support secondary-aged students both academically and emotionally
  • Ability to work with students with diverse needs and adapt to their learning styles
  • Available full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Obtain a child-only DBS on the Update Service
