Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you a compassionate individual eager to support children with SEND in a mainstream primary setting? Our welcoming primary school in Hornchurch, Essex, is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. If you have a positive attitude, experience in SEND, and a background in mainstream classrooms, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  1. Positive Energy: Foster a warm, patient, and encouraging atmosphere for students.
  2. SEND Expertise: Apply your SEND knowledge to meet the varied needs of students and enhance their learning experience.
  3. Classroom Integration: Support SEND students within the classroom seamlessly, using your experience in mainstream primary settings.
  4. Engagement: Support students in one-on-one and group settings, adapting your approach to each child’s needs.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and fellow TAs to ensure a successful learning environment.
  6. Adaptability: Balance multiple tasks effectively, maintaining focus and calm throughout the school day.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience with SEND in a primary school.
  2. A friendly, approachable nature with strong connections to children and staff.
  3. Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic school setting.
