Role Overview:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the diverse needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your dedication, compassion and adaptability will contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
About the school:
This School provides specialist education and support to young people who have social, emotional, cognitive and sensorial needs or may have been assessed as having a form of Neurodiversity or some form of Complex Trauma. All young people placed with us will have an Education Health Care Plan and may not be able to attend mainstream education at this time. Our aim is to provide a family style home where young people can also receive their education on site. Education is provided by an experienced teaching team who understand the barriers young people face in accessing school and learning when they have difficult and challenging life experiences, coupled with emotional and behavioural issues. This schoolis an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education to pupils from 10 to 19 years of age in Lewes, East Sussex. Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
