About the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and passionate graduates who are looking to gain classroom experience before starting teacher training. These are long-term placements to start ASAP, as well as in September 2024.

This is a highly rewarding role. The school are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships. You will be assisting the teacher and supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.

• This is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain classroom experience before starting teacher training.
• Full support and guidance will be provided from Prospero’s Training and Development Team, awarded ‘Best Upskilling Provider’ in the UK Business Awards 2024.
• Full access to additional CPD courses, live webinars and 1-1 coaching.
• A stepping stone to salaried routes to obtain qualified teacher status. We have links with teacher training providing providers where you can obtain QTS with no tuition fees.

Contract details for the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:

• Location – Portsmouth
• Position – Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Type of work -Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Start date – ASAP and September 2024
• School hours – 8:30 am to 3:15pm, term-time only
• Contract – full-time / part-time
• Minimum rate of pay – £ per day
