Job description

We are delighted to be working with a welcoming and nurturing primary school in the heart of Hammersmith, which is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a long-term position.

This small, community-focused school fosters a warm, supportive environment where staff truly get to know each child and their families, allowing each pupil to flourish. The school is especially proud of its Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which establishes strong foundations for learning in a creative, engaging, and caring setting.

Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, planned lessons and activities
  • Lead small group sessions in phonics, literacy, and numeracy to boost pupils' progress
  • Provide personalized support for individual pupils, including those with SEND
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships to support pupils' SEMH needs
  • Promote a calm, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
  • Observe and report on pupil progress and behaviour to the class teacher or SENCO
  • Build positive partnerships with parents and carers as part of the school community
  • Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Childcare and/or Education
  • Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Up-to-date Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service
  • Previous or current experience working with children in a school setting

The pay range advertised is based on employment through an umbrella company.
