Job description

Teaching Assistant (Generic) Level 3 (Berriew CP School)

Salary: Grade 5 Point 7 to Point 9, £25,584 to £26,409 per annum pro rata, £13.26 to £13.68 per hour

Job Description:

  • School: Berriew CP School, Berriew, Welshpool, Powys, SY21 8BA
  • Required from 1st September 2025
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Fixed Term to 31st August 2026 (1 year, with possible extension)
  • Part-time: 18 hours per week, 6 hours per day, Wednesday to Friday

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated teaching assistant committed to ensuring access to learning for all pupils. The candidate should contribute to the warm, caring ethos of the school and demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Initiative, teamwork, and involvement in planning and evaluating activities are essential. Welsh language skills are advantageous. The appointment is subject to a DBS check and references.
