Job description

We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant in our popular and friendly school. This role can be a general classroom teaching assistant or a 1:1 support position.

You will need the skills to engage children in effective learning, with an interest in developing social skills and sensitivity to individual needs. The ideal candidate will be highly efficient, flexible, reliable, and capable of building positive relationships with children. You should be energetic, supportive, a positive team player, and possess excellent communication skills. The role requires emotional literacy and commitment, offering a rewarding experience.

A willingness to support the Catholic ethos and contribute to the wider school community is essential.

This position involves morning and lunchtime break duties.

Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs, and a good understanding of social communication difficulties, will be beneficial. SEN and classroom experience are preferable.
