Teaching Assistant for Specialist Provision, Manchester

Tradewind Manchester are supporting a three-form entry primary school based in Old Trafford to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to work in their resource provision. This is a temporary position starting in September 2025, with the potential to lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The role involves working with KS1 children diagnosed with Autism. Candidates must have a passion for supporting children with additional and complex needs. You will collaborate with the SENCO and the teacher to meet the children's needs and assist in transitioning pupils to mainstream lessons when necessary. Full-time commitment is required to ensure consistency.

A successful candidate must be:

• Dedicated, resilient, and proactive
• Ideally possess a TA2 or TA3 qualification
• Experienced in behavior management strategies
• Available to commit until July 2025
• Prepared to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure if not already held
• Willing to undergo overseas police clearances (if applicable) and provide professional references
