Job summary

Teach in Ely is actively recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils across mainstream and SEND environments. You will assist with learning activities, manage small groups, and help maintain classroom routines.

The role welcomes candidates with experience in safeguarding and a patient, adaptable approach. Training will be provided where needed, and all appointments require safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND is welcomed.
• Reliable, patient, and professional with a commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential.
• Able to adapt approach to meet individual pupil needs.
• Previous experience in school or educational settings desirable but not essential.
• Safeguarding checks will be carried out in line with current legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on an individual basis or in small groups.
• Assist with learning activities, classroom routines and positive behaviour.
• Provide support to pupils with additional needs as required.
• Work as part of a wider school team to support pupil wellbeing.
