Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in schools across the Llanelli area. Long‑term placements or flexible day‑to‑day supply – you choose what works for you.

You’ll support the class teacher, provide one‑to‑one or small group help, and help create a positive, nurturing learning environment.

We offer free training, CPD progression, an easy online app, and weekly PAYE with a supportive team of consultants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children.
• Experience can be voluntary, school-based, or from transferable roles (youth work, care, coaching, etc.).
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and activities
• Encouraging pupil participation and promoting positive behaviour
