Job summary

Sherford Vale School & Nursery is seeking two fixed term, part-time Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team. The roles are 28 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, with a view to extending if required.

The successful candidates will work with a range of learners, support SEND pupils, and promote positive behaviour and learning in a caring environment.

An enhanced DBS is required and we value motivated, flexible staff who are committed to helping children thrive.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children in an educational setting.
• Experience with SEND advantageous.

Job description

Due to the ongoing growth of Sherford Vale School and Nursery, we currently require fixed term, part-time Teaching Assistants - 28 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

We are seeking to appoint two caring, friendly, and experienced Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and dedicated team.

The successful candidates will:

• Demonstrate a secure understanding of the needs of all learner groups.
• Promote consistently high standards of behaviour and learning.
• Work effectively as part of a committed and supportive team.
• Provide high-quality support to help pupils achieve their best outcomes.
• Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including working with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis where required.

Applicants should hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and/or have a proven track record of successful experience working with children in an educational setting. Experience of supporting children with SEND would be advantageous.
