**Job Title: Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) with Special Needs Focus** **Location: Oldham, Lancashire** Are you looking to transform lives through the power of education? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated Early Years team in Oldham, Lancashire. If you have experience working with EYFS children and a strong background in supporting non-verbal autistic students, we urge you to apply for this rewarding role. **About the Role:** As a Teaching Assistant specializing in EYFS with a focus on special needs, you will play a pivotal role in the academic and personal growth of young learners. This is a full-time position from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, where your days will be spent making a difference in the lives of children who need your support the most. **Key Responsibilities:** - Implementing tailored learning activities for non-verbal autistic children and other special needs students in the EYFS stage. - Supporting the class teacher in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. - Engaging with children individually to support their communication, social, and educational development. - Developing and utilizing specialized communication techniques to enhance student interaction and classroom participation. - Assisting with the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials to meet each child’s individual needs. - Observing and recording children's progress, and providing feedback to teachers and parents. - Managing challenging behavior constructively and developing positive behavior strategies. - Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including educators, parents, and external agencies to support the well-being and development of our students. **Ideal Candidate:** - Previous experience working with EYFS children, particularly those with special needs such as non-verbal autism. - A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team. - An empathetic and patient communicator with a natural ability to connect with young learners. - Strong organizational skills and the energy to handle a high-energy role with various demands throughout the day. - Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are highly desirable. - Committed to continuous personal development and open to training to further enhance your skills in specialized areas. **Why Join Us?** This role offers the chance to make a substantive impact in the lives of extraordinary children.
