Job Title: Teaching Assistant EYFS
Contract: Fixed term for 1 year (EHCP funding)
Salary: Scale 3 £24,790.00 - £25,183.00 FTE pro rata is £16,762.53 - £17,028.27
Hours: 29.25 hours per week (8.40 am to 3.15 pm - Monday to Friday)
Start date: 01/09/2025

Vale View Primary School currently has three exciting vacancies for proactive and effective Teaching Assistants (Level 2) to start 1st September 2025. The ideal candidates will have experience of working in a primary school and hold a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this. You will be predominantly working within our Early Years Foundation Stage with children with special educational needs and will work with our caring and dedicated team to support children’s learning and social development by providing high quality learning opportunities and care. The posts will be fixed term.

About you:
You will hold a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this
You will have successful experience of working in school setting
You will have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum
You will have knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and have experience of working to support children who have special educational needs
You will have excellent literacy (Level 2 qualification), numeracy and IT skills
You will be committed, motivated, proactive and flexible
You will enjoy working as part of a team
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with parents, staff and outside agencies
You will have a sound knowledge of safeguarding
