Overview

Teaching Assistant – Primary – Complex Needs – South Birmingham. A supportive primary special school in South Birmingham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and communication impairments. The role includes providing 1-1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum, develop independence, and build confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with complex learning needs in class, in small groups, and on a 1-2-1 basis.
  • Assisting with differentiated learning and adapting resources to suit individual needs.
  • Helping pupils with communication, social development, and emotional regulation.
  • Providing personal care where required.
