Job summary

Ace Academics Consultancy is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a large Further Education College in Deeside. You will provide classroom support across FE programmes, assist with learning activities and offer one-to-one and small-group help to students, including those with SEN/ALN. The role offers long-term stability with potential permanent progression.

DBS check and EWC registration may be required. Competitive hourly pay (£14-£16) reflects experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Experience supporting students with SEN/ALN preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Patient, adaptable and supportive approach to working with learners.
• DBS check, or willingness to undergo one.
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students across a range of further education programmes.
• Work closely with lecturers and teaching staff to support learning activities.
• Offer one-to-one and small-group assistance to students requiring additional support.
• Support learners with additional learning needs (ALN), helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Encourage student engagement, confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

• An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo one.
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration, or willingness to obtain the required registration.
