Job summary

Vida Education is currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Lancashire and Cumbria. We welcome experienced teaching assistants, higher learning teaching assistants, or learning support assistants to join our team and help deliver engaging lessons.

Responsibilities include supporting the teacher, preparing classrooms, managing behaviour, and working one-to-one or in small groups. Applicants should have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or minimum 1 year work experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
• Confident communication skills and ability to motivate students in 1-2-1 or small group settings.
• Current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS (cost applies).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the teacher with the delivery of lessons.
• Preparing the classroom for lessons (setting up equipment).
• Managing behaviour and engaging students in their own learning.
• Working with students either one-to-one or in small groups out of the classroom.
• Committed to supporting both the teacher and the students to succeed.
