Job description

TA2, points 5-6

21:67 per week (21 hours 40 minutes) TTO plus 5 TED days

The Governors and staff of our large church school are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant to work in one of our classes during the morning and over the lunchtime period. The role will be term time only: 21 hours 40 minutes (8.40am – 1.00pm) per week (5 days). There is also scope to work 3 days per week currently (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) There is also an expectation that the post holder will work in our breakfast club from 07:40 to 08:40 Monday to Friday, term time only.We have both a permanent and temporary (maternity leave cover) vacancy available.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting
  • Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs
  • Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement
  • Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest
  • Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic
  • Has an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development.
  • Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children.
  • Be able to work well as part of our whole school team and school community
  • Support our Christian ethos as a church school
