Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Warden Hill Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Salary: £17,264 - £18,388 per annum (pro rata), based on Grades E4-8 (Pay award pending)

Hours: Part Time (30.50 hours)

Contract: Permanent

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cheltenham Bournside School as a Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work within our Special Educational Needs Department, supporting the effective operation of the SEND provision on a daily basis. Experience supporting Maths, English, or Science is especially desirable.

Teaching Assistants are vital to our SEND support and provision, working as part of the SEND Team led by the SENDCO and SEND Lead Practitioner. They collaborate closely with subject leaders and teachers in classrooms and departmental meetings to ensure students with SEND make excellent progress. Responsibilities include 1:1 interventions, small group work, and classroom support.
