Teaching Assistant - Calshot Primary School

Level 3 (Early Years) Teaching Assistant – Permanent Contract

27.5 hours per week (Term Time Only)

We wish to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to work every day from 8.45am to 3:15pm (with a 1-hour lunch break) in Early Years from 1st September 2025.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Have the commitment, drive, and determination to improve standards and achievement for all pupils
  • Have high expectations of themselves, pupils, and staff
  • Have an NVQ Level 3 childcare-related qualification (or equivalent)
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn and develop in Early Years
  • Have experience working in a primary school, preferably in Reception
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Be highly motivated, hardworking, and have a strong sense of ‘good will’
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work well as part of a team
  • Be keen to develop and improve their own practice

The post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016), and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement of the role.
