Job description

Burnside Primary School is a thriving, inclusive, and welcoming school at the heart of the community. We are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our growing team, working initially in our expanding Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) department and supporting our wraparound care provision.You may also work with students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).



About the Role: We are looking for a vibrant, motivated, and nurturing individual who is passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to the wider life of the school. You will work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning and help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for all children.



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:


  • A Level 3 NVQ for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification

  • Experience working within EYFS or early primary years. · A flexible, team-oriented approach and a willingness to support across different areas of school life

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to helping them thrive emotionally, socially, and academically

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
