Job description

We are working with a lovely one-form entry Infant school in Aylesbury that requires a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 1. This role involves general classroom support as well as working 1:1 or 1:2 with students.

If you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or hold your Level 2 or 3 qualification supporting teaching and learning in primary schools, we would love to hear from you.

The role is full-time, term-time only, starting from Summer Term 2025. It will initially last until the end of the school year, with potential to continue into the next academic year and possibly lead to a permanent contract.

The requirements:
  • Have a Level 2/Level 3 NVQ or at least 6 months of experience working in a classroom as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Nursery Nurse
  • Be engaging and flexible
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviour
  • Have a patient, creative approach
  • Experience working with SEND needs
  • Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a team
  • Complete a full registration interview, DBS, and reference checks
