Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Autism Support Teaching Assistant for an inclusive mainstream primary school in Calne. This role is ideal for individuals interested in making a significant difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism.

The successful candidate will work closely with a child who has an EHCP, supporting their social and academic development. Previous experience with children with Autism is advantageous. This position offers valuable experience for future psychologists, therapists, counsellors, and SENCOs, as you will collaborate with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists, and teachers specializing in SEN.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting a child with autism according to their EHCP targets and outcomes.
• Work empathetically and engagingly to help the child overcome social and academic barriers.
• Collaborate with SEN professionals and school staff to deliver tailored support.

Requirements

• Experience working with children with SEN, especially Autism, is preferred.
• Available to start ASAP.
• Full-time, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
• Salary: £80 - £95 per day.
