Teaching Assistant – Autism Specialist (Behavioural & Nurture Needs)
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Daily rate: £90–£95 (experience dependent)
Contract: Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:15am – 15:15pm

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism and behavioural/nurture needs.
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals to implement IEPs and Behaviour Support Plans.
Supporting communication and emotional regulation using PECS, Makaton, and sensory strategies.
Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment that builds confidence and independence.
Assisting with personal care and sensory needs where necessary.
Essential: Experience supporting children with autism or transferable experience from a care/behavioural setting.
Desirable: SEN-related qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate).
A strong understanding of therapeutic and behavioural strategies.
Excellent communication skills, empathy, and resilience.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
