Axcis Education, a leading provider of special educational needs staffing solutions in the education sector, is recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Bristol (Eastville) for a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting a young girl awaiting an autism diagnosis, providing support, establishing boundaries, and being a consistent presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide one-to-one support to the student, assisting with educational and emotional needs.
2. Implement strategies and interventions to support learning and development.
3. Establish clear boundaries and routines for a structured environment.
4. Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and professionals for holistic support.
5. Monitor and record progress, adapting strategies as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience with children or young individuals with autism is desirable.
• Patience and compassion, with rapport-building skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilience and adaptability in support provision.
• Qualifications or training in autism support or SEN are advantageous.
