Job description

Teaching Assistant Position

Type: Permanent - to start as soon as possible

Hours: 32-37 hours per week, negotiable, worked over 5 days

Paid Weeks: Term time including INSET Day (45.05 paid weeks)

Salary Scale: Grade 5 - 6, points 5 - 9, depending on experience. Actual salary for 37 hours/week: £21,417 - £22,816 PA; FTE: £24,790 - £26,409 PA. Pay award pending.

About the Role

Compass Learning Centre seeks an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4. Hours are flexible between 32 and 37 hours per week, over 5 days, during term time including INSET days.

The salary range is Dorset Council Grades 5 - 6, with potential progression to Grade 7 for suitable candidates.

This role suits individuals who enjoy working with young people, particularly those with complex needs and challenging behaviour. It offers an opportunity to gain experience, develop skills, or make a difference in young lives.
