Job summary

Cabot Learning Federation is seeking a Teaching Assistant apprentice to support pupils across classes and groups at Evergreen Primary within the Trust structure.

You will assist with preparing resources, supervising learning, supporting behaviour, reading with pupils, and helping with exams and extracurricular activities; the programme runs for 1 year 6 months, with college day release and a dedicated training provider SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE AND STROUD COLLEGE.

Qualifications

• Essential - GCSE English at grade 4 or above
• Essential - GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above
• Commitment to supporting pupil learning and wellbeing
• Ability to work with pupils across ranges of ability and needs
• Willingness to develop skills through apprenticeship training
• Good IT and administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils in one-to-one or small groups
• Support pupils to engage in learning and stay on task
• Support social and emotional development and report issues
• Assist teachers in managing pupil behaviour
• Listen to pupils read and read to pupils as needed
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback
• Help with lesson planning and resource preparation
• Support exams, trips and extra-curricular activities
