Leigh Academy Cherry Orchard is inviting applications for a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice) to join our dedicated team and support classes across the academy. The role focuses on helping teachers deliver high-quality teaching with professionalism and enthusiasm.

The apprenticeship lasts 18 months plus end point assessment, with the potential for ongoing employment after successful completion and progression to higher apprenticeship training.

Salary: Actual salary £14,122 per annum (£16,200 full-time equivalent)

Leigh Academy Cherry Orchard has a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice) to join and support our classes in our highly successful academy that opened in 2017.

What does the role involve? The main aim of this role is to support our teachers to deliver academic excellence, day in, day out, with professionalism and enthusiasm.

We endeavour to offer further employment following successful performance and completion of the Level 3 course with future opportunities to extend your training with a higher level apprenticeship programme. We offer in-house Continuing Professional Development and you’ll be part of a highly experienced and efficient team – you’ll be learning from the very best!

Annual wage: Actual salary £14,122 per annum (£16,200 full-time equivalent)

Working weeks: Monday - Friday, Term Time + 1 week inset

Total hours per week: 37.5 (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship) - 8:30am - 4:30pm

Apprenticeship duration: 18 months + EPA (end point assessment)

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible
