Job Title: Teaching Assistant Alternative Provision (Post-14 Support)

Salary: GBP105 GBP115 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

About the Role:

We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a specialist Alternative Provision in Garston (L19) that supports young people aged 14 to 24. This setting provides tailored education and guidance for students who benefit from learning outside of a mainstream environment, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The provision offers a study programme for 14- 16 year olds and a youth hub for ages 16-24, focused on employment readiness, training, and re-engagement in education. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in young lives, especially for those facing barriers to education.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support across vocational and academic sessions

Support learners with emotional regulation, life skills, and engagement in learning

Collaborate with teachers, trainers, and support staff to deliver personalised education plans

Promote independence and employability skills through structured guidance and mentoring

Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months classroom experience in the UK

Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, NEET backgrounds, or EHCPs is desirable

Strong communication skills and a calm, encouraging presence

Passionate about inclusion, re-engagement, and positive outcomes for young people

Eligibility:
Right to work in the UK

Enhanced Child Barred List DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Two professional references related to childcare, education, or youth support

Available to work full-time from September 1st
