Ridgeway Primary Academy (part of Primitas Learning Partnership),

TEACHING ASSISTANT – Additional Needs (within Our Special Resourced Provision)

Salary: Grade 3, SCP 4 (£24,404 per annum) Actual salary £13,879 per annum approx. depending on years of service

Contract: Fixed term until 17th July 2026 (the post is linked to EHCP funding, so is likely to continue after this time)

Working Hours: Term Time only (38 pupil weeks). Additional time may be required on INSET days for training which will receive an additional payment

Monday to Friday, 25 hrs per week, 9.00 am – 3.30 pm

Start Date: September 2025

Ridgeway Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work. We retained ‘Good’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection in December 2024 and we are a founding member of Primitas Learning Partnership, a Multi Academy Trust which seeks to make a positive difference in the local community.

Ridgeway Primary Academy is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within our Specialist Resource Provision, The Nest.

The Nest accommodates a range of children, with (or awaiting) an EHCP, supporting varying needs including, ASC, SEMH and communication & interaction needs.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide support within one of the three rooms within The Nest.
• Hold an NVQ L2/L3 Qualification or equivalent
• Have a good level of English and Maths skills
• Have experience of supporting children with ASC, SEMH or communication & interaction needs would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
  
  
  

Whilst work will be guided by the teacher, The Nest rooms are in the main TA led, therefore the successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to use their own initiative when required.
