Job summary

Aspire School is seeking a Cover SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4 to 11 with ASD and speech and language needs. The role is 1-year temporary (with extension) and term-time only (38 weeks plus 5 training days), 28.75 hours weekly, 8:45 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.

Successful candidates will have SEN experience, familiarity with SEMH or challenging behaviour, and training in de-escalation or positive behaviour support.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Experience or training in de-escalation and/or positive behaviour support.
  • Able to work in a friendly team and communicate clearly with adults and children.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils aged 4-11 with ASD and speech and language needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualised support and behaviour strategies.

We are looking for a cover SEN Teaching Assistant to help support a range of classes.

This is 1-year temporary (with aim to extend), term time only contract (38 weeks per year plus 5 training days), 28.75 hours per week, 8.45 until 15.00 Monday to Friday.
