Job summary

Outwood Academy Portland in Worksop is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students, including those with SEND, under the direction of the class teacher. The role is 34 hours per week, term-time only, with a salary of £20,175–£20,495 per year.

You will work alongside teachers to implement tailored activities, monitor progress, and help create a positive climate for learning. A collaborative, student-centred approach is essential.

Working Pattern: 34 Hours Per Week, Term Time only (39 weeks)

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.
• Work directly with teachers to implement tailored learning activities and provide essential academic and welfare support to individuals and small groups.
• Assist with intervention management, including support for SEND and EAL students.
• Contribute to developing individualized student support plans and monitor progress.
