Job description

The successful candidate will assist in delivering engaging lessons, provide targeted support for pupils (including those with additional needs), and help to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing behaviour.
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to boost learning and confidence.
• Provide additional support for children with SEND and/or EAL where required.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.
• Encourage positive relationships and a supportive atmosphere for all learners.
• Contribute to assessments and feedback where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.
• A passion for education and supporting pupil progress.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
