Are you looking for Teaching Assistant opportunities in Wakefield?

Winner Education are recruiting Teaching Assistants for primary schools based in and around Wakefield. We are looking to appoint successful candidates on long-term, short-term and day to day basis dependent on your availability. Vacancies will be required to start from the new academic year in September, if you are unavailable to start immediately.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Be actively involved in daily routines of classes, groups or individual learners
  • Deliver, monitor and record pupil educational programmes, both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Support the class teacher in tailoring lesson planning to deliver to the pupils
  • Prepare materials and resources for lessons
  • Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Provide classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have a minimum Level 2 qualification, or have a significant number of years experience
  • Demonstrate initiative
  • Have previous SEN experience
  • Ability to work co-operatively with all teaching staff
  • Have previous experience working with primary pupils
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
