Job summary

Two Rivers Church of England Primary in the West of England is seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant. You will support learning across the primary curriculum, build positive relationships with pupils, and work closely with teaching staff to identify and address barriers to learning.

You should have a good standard of education (5 GCSEs including English and Maths at C or above) or equivalent experience, plus an understanding of classroom roles and child development.

Qualifications

• Has a good standard of education (5 x GCSE’s – English and Maths C or above) or equivalent qualification/experience (e.g. substantial experience as a Teaching Assistant).
• Has an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
• Has an understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and in particular, barriers to learning
• Is able to plan and implement effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving,
• Is a natural communicator with the ability to relate to both pupils and adults.
